What an AKTR code tells you

Your report points to a tested knowledge area. It does not write the study plan for you.

After an FAA knowledge test, the Airman Knowledge Test Report can list ACS Knowledge codes associated with missed questions. A code helps identify the tested area, but a short code label alone does not tell you which explanation to practice, how it connects to related topics, or how to keep the rest of the rating fresh.

CertWrench translates each recognized code into the relevant subject and reviewed flashcards. You can begin with those weak areas, then use balanced sessions so the report does not become your entire preparation plan.

What the plan can and cannot do

It can organize documented weak areas and connect them to study material. It cannot predict the exact oral questions, practical projects, or examiner sequence you will receive.

AM.I.A.K9

Fundamentals of electricity and electronics

Open the reviewed voltage and electrical-fundamentals topics tied to this identifier, then continue with balanced General practice.

AM.I.C.K5AM.I.C.K6

Weight and balance

K5 covers the purpose and application of weight and CG limits. K6 covers why determining CG matters. CertWrench connects both identifiers to the reviewed weight-and-balance topics.

AM.I.E.K6

Aircraft materials, hardware, and processes

Open the precision-tool topics connected to this code and practice choosing and reading the right measurement tool.

Private report import

Your report file is read in your browser.

The goal is a useful study plan without collecting the personal details printed on the report.

01

Import or type

Choose a PDF or photo, or paste the codes manually when that is faster.

02

Confirm the result

Remove a false OCR match or add a missed code before building the plan.

03

Save only the codes

The report file, filename, score, FTN, identity details, and full extracted text are not uploaded to CertWrench.

From code to action

Use focused sessions without forgetting the rest of the rating.

A missed code is a starting point. CertWrench combines it with full-rating practice, Mock Oral, practical assignments, and your own readiness marks.

Focus

Open the flashcards tied to the codes you confirmed and answer them aloud.

Check

Run a Mock Oral from the AKTR entry path with every answer hidden until the debrief.

Balance

Return to mixed practice across the purchased rating so unlisted topics do not disappear from your preparation.

AKTR code and report questions

Is an AKTR code the same as an ACS code?

Your report uses ACS Knowledge identifiers to point to tested subject areas. CertWrench calls the feature an AKTR Study Plan because the report is the customer starting point, while the codes themselves come from the Aviation Mechanic ACS.

Do I need an account?

No. You can import, confirm, and inspect the free plan without an account. Signing in lets confirmed codes follow your study account to another supported device.

What if the photo import misses a code?

You can remove, correct, or add codes manually before building the plan. The tool is designed to make confirmation easy rather than pretend OCR is perfect.

Should I study only the listed codes?

No. Use them as a priority signal, then continue balanced preparation across the full rating.

Use the current ACS as the source of truth.

The FAA publishes the Aviation Mechanic ACS and its companion guide. CertWrench connects recognized Knowledge identifiers to its reviewed study material.
