What practical preparation should build

Know how to begin, not just what the finished answer says.

A practical assignment can test whether you can find the applicable data, identify hazards, choose the right tools and materials, perform or describe the work in a disciplined order, inspect the result, and explain why it is acceptable.

No. It helps you organize and explain your approach. Your school, instructor, work experience, tools, assigned article, and current technical data provide the hands-on part.

Does CertWrench predict the exact project I will receive?

No. The FAA ACS defines the testing standard, but the actual projects and assigned articles vary. The drills build transferable preparation and decision habits.

Where does the practical material come from?

Each practical family is tied to the current Aviation Mechanic ACS and supported by the applicable FAA 2023 General, Airframe, or Powerplant handbook. Aircraft-specific procedures and limits still come from the assigned data.

Can I use only the rating I need?
